Robert ("Bob"), passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side after a brave 9-year battle with cancer. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Nellie and Edward Eshoo. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Claudia Wolf Eshoo; daughter Erica Eshoo; granddaughter, Eva; his sister Anita Eshoo Pira; his Aunt Julia Lazar, and cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and Lulu, the dog of the house.
Bob was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, spent his childhood there and moved to San Francisco in 1958. He was a graduate of George Washington High School and San Francisco State University. He taught at several schools in the SFUSD before beginning a 29-year tenure at his alma mater George Washington High School, where one could find him in the shop wing teaching printing and technology. His teaching career totaled 34 years.
Bob's passions included traveling, cruising, playing golf with his friends, eating, whittling, reading, napping, playing with Legos and exercising with his gym buddies. His greatest pleasure of all was being a husband, father and grandfather.
Thank you to Lana, Bob's caregiver for two years and his dear family and friends for their devoted and loving care.
