Dr. Michael David Kassels
April 27, 1961 - April 19, 2024
Dr. Michael (Mike) Kassels passed away after a long battle with cancer. Mike graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific and became an Internal Medicine Specialist. Mike developed his sports expertise while training with the team physicians for the San Diego Chargers, US Ski Team, Phoenix Suns and San Francisco 49ers. In 2015 mike merged his practice with BASS Medical Group. Mike enjoyed vacationing in his two favorite spots on the island of Kauai and in the mountains of Lake Tahoe. Mike was preceded in death by his father Robert Kassels and his daughter Lauren Dietz. Mike is survived by his mother Charlene Kassels, son Ryan Dietz, daughter Ashley Dietz, bothers Andrew (Gina) Kassels and Barry (Debra) Kassels, nephews Austin and Gino, niece Alexa, companion Tracey Ingleman and best friend and confidant Liz Kassels.
There will be a service at the Home of Eternity Jewish Cemetery and Mausoleum in Oakland on April 26th at 10 AM.
