Ronnie Gorelick passed on March 30, 2018. Born in Manhattan her family transplanted to California in 1965. It was difficult to leave family on the East Coast but Ronnie was so happy to join her sisters in California (Frances and Arlene) and her son Jeff who was attending UCLA.

During the depression Ronnie had to leave high school to help support her family. Following the family's move out to California in 1965 Ronnie's love of learning propelled her to attain her high school and college degrees while at the same time balancing family and her job as a librarian for the LA City School District. Her quest for knowledge motivated her to travel, appreciate the arts and become actively involved in politics. She and her husband Louis Gorelick were invited to the White House during the Clinton Administration as Ronnie headed up the Rossmoor chapter of a worldwide club to support Hillary Clinton.

Ronnie was empathetic to people from all walks of life and was very charitable. She was a progressive thinker and believed in supporting the rights and liberties of all people. Ronnie also had many interests and was an avid reader and enjoyed bridge, mah jongg and loved to gamble on her jaunts to visit her son and family in Reno.

Family was at the forefront of Ronnie's life and she was dedicated to her family . Her greatest joy was family celebrations and get togethers. She had great remembrances of her husband of more than fifty years - Louis "Larry" Gorelick who passed away in 1997. She missed him very much. She leaves her loving and devoted children daughter Jane and son Jeff, and four adoring grandchildren, Sasha, Jessica, Lucas and Eli. To her last days she remained sharp, inquisitive, so very stylish and engaged with all who visited her. Her amazing strength, dignity and resolve will be sorely missed, as will she, by her family and all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers donations would be gratefully accepted to Temple Isaiah in Lafayette, California, The American Lung Association, Giffords PAC, or Bruns House in Alamo, California. The funeral for Ronnie Gorelick will be held at, Oakmont Memorial Park, Lafayette, California on Tuesday April 3, 2018.
